Not many past Hall of Famers of the modern era have as good of a resume as he does. I wonder if he cares that much about the single vote. He's probably still riding his high from the Japanese hall of fame induction recently. Although hilariously, in the The Athletic's write-up of his induction they used the wrong kanji for his name and also didn't realize he (and the Japanese media) doesn't write his name in kanji.
