I'm assuming they're all just doing it cuz they know it'll draw eyes and dont want to be left in the dust by their competitors also doing it. It's almost like an arms race now

Looks like the Switch 1 with wrong button placement. I doubt this is the Switch 2. Nintendo most likely gave the company the specs for Switch 2 to make the grips or whatever the hell that is an they just photoshopped the console in there.

Yep, and it really highlights how irrelevant all the increase in hardware power beyond the PS4 has been when Nintendo have been releasing hardware-intensive titles like Tears of the Kingdom on a device that is barely any stronger than a PS3.

I don't care for the color. Wonder if it'll come with any launch games to make it worth buying before the holidays.

Kinda my point TBH, the hardware has become extremely redundant and just guzzles power for no value nor reason just so devs can shove extra particles on the screen. Tears was doing more ambitious things with its game mechanics that basically any modern AAA title and managed to make it run on a proverbial toaster.

Does it matter if they Photoshopped the buttons in the wrong order? We still know it looks like that, otherwise. They're mockups, but the mockups are still based on the real thing.

To be fair, they kinda have to or else you'd only be able to use one of the Joycons as a controller on its own, and the ability to have two controllers right there is one of its bigger selling points.

The point isn't to always use one as the main controller, it's so that you automatically have two controllers to play with somebody no matter where you are.

The joycon multiplayer is great in a pinch. I like it

Are we sure about this? Every single supposed image "leak" of this thing has had the X and Y buttons in that same place. It would be weird if Nintendo switched them up, but there's a consistency here in the leaks.

Because they have to be usable as two separate controllers if the need arises.

Besides, when docked, you have the option for traditional controllers.

It's definitely been done for a bit. They're probably just waiting for the timing for a good release window at this point

It does feel like they delayed the reveal a bit so a game could get a bit more polish. Same thing happened with the switch reveal.
