......that looks good. Kung Pao chicken?

To answer your question. Depends on what it is. Chili I leave it in. Thai food leave it in.

The food here is terrible. My steak was so tough it attacked my coffee and the coffee was too weak to defend itself.

I'd probably devour half that before I even realized they're not regular red peppers

I wouldn't put chilies in my stir fry, so it's a moot point.

Other - I dont use chilies. Always make food without them. Kids are allergic to peppers and I definitely have an intolerance.

I'd just pick the chicken out and leave the rest.

Why would I put chilies into my stir fry? It's usually just cabbage, broccoli, carrot, and sugar snap peas with chicken.

There's this Szechuan place that goes completely overboard with it and I challenge myself to eat all of them and I always regret it.

Depends on if they are sufficiently rehydrated or not. If they're still hard and plasticy then no since they're difficult to chew up. If they're hydrated enough that there's no annoyingness in eating them then yes I devour them.

It depends but probably not. Chilis used in recipes like that are usually just aromatics and not intended to be eaten.

Chongqing chicken is one of my favorite Chinese dishes and afaik you're not supposed to eat the chilis.

I'm glad they're involved with the food in some way, but I'm not eating 'em.

Basically silica packet logic, lmao.

if it's take out you can pick them all out, chop them up, and fry them until crispy. imo, they're really great like that.

just dont burn them since they get bitter fast.

What's interesting is many Chinese (in China) don't eat them and think I am weird for eating them.

Heres where I pulled it from, I just picked one of the first Google image results:

https://www.closetcooking.com/kung-pao-chicken/

Would probably swap out the breast for boneless skinless thigh meat personally.
