so the keanu mission/aftermath was super long. wasnt a fan of the car/bike fight either, not sure why it wasnt just a cutscene. so far the story is really hacky. gonna start doing side content, i hear thats a lot better and allows for a lot more player freedom

how did you resolve it?

I assumed that rebooting his system would automatically reintegrate all of the fractured personalities back into one, but apparently you can only do that if you have the required Intelligence attribute, which I didn't have. So I just decided to reboot Delamain and kill off all the sub-personalities. My rationale was that they were all ridiculously unstable, some psychopathic, and releasing them into the city unchecked could cause chaos. But I'm guessing your Wesker personality probably loves creating chaos.

Also the side missions vary a lot, some are good others are a bit boring. You're better off sticking with the main questlines if you want to focus on story.

Also if you want a fast car, I found a blacked out Rayfield Caliburn (probably the fastest car in the game) for free! It was in an abandoned mine/tunnel out in the badlands. I didn't find it until Act 3 but I'm assuming you can pick it up any time if you know where it is.

yeah some quest chains are not finished when you think they are, because often the mission giver waits several days before calling the player to give them the next mission. The Delamain quest is not much of a spoiler anyway tbh.

My V's voice does not fit with the look of my character at all, but I eventually got used to the voice. Assuming you're talking about the voice being annoying.

You need to complete one of Panam's quests for that car to become available.

It's a little iffy.

That's absolutely one of the requirements, but pre-PL you also needed 40 Street Cred before it appeared.

I don't recall if that changed with the DLC.

But there's also other free cars, like the Nomad one they made for the stock car racing dude, a Quadra connected to a Gig, a pickup that's just out in the boonies, and a Herrera for doing El Capitan's PL shit.

Also fuck El Capitan, goddamn flashposer with his stupid fuckin' mullet.

I'd recommend people do all of Panam's quests anyway since, even post nerf, the silenced sniper rifle you get as a reward for one of the later missions is easily the best in the game.

ok i did some quest with some new chick panam. it was hard doing it fists only but i made it

have you incurred the wrath of MaxTac yet?

I was very well behaved on my playthrough didn't kill a single cop. but now I'm near the end I've been doing some rampages, mainly against Militech out in the badlands.

I managed to kill 3 MaxTac guys yesterday, but just had a never ending army of militech swarming me the whole time. It seems MaxTac don't put a trace on you until you get into a vehicle. not sure what the exact conditions are but I think if you try to drive with a 5 star wanted level then they come for you.

It's easy to just hole up somewhere and kill hoards of Militech but I just end up burning through all my ammo and you can't scavenge ammo from bodies which is annoying so once all your weapons are empty you have to bug out and try to escape.

It's kind of ridiculous how quickly you can lose the wanted level though.

currently just going through the story finale. also I don't have Phantom Liberty, anyone know whether the dlc is worth getting?

im not sure. ive gotten 5 stars a bunch of times. it can be a bit hard to fight back or lose them but i usually succeed. i get hacked a bunch tho

Have you gotten yourself some gorilla arms yet?

i did but i dont notice any difference except now my hands are ugly. i modded my hands to be normal tho so its cool

The Arms give you more melee damage, elemental damage bonuses (depending on type), and the assorted cyberware stat bonuses.

They also add to your effective Body score when forcing doors and whatnot, up to (I think) +8 for the Orange tier.

Finally, they override Body requirements for weapons, but I imagine that won't matter much to your build.

Never did a five-star Militech massacre, but how do throwing knives fare? Mostly in the sense that they come back to you and kills refresh their cooldowns or something.

You basically have to land head shots with throwing knives for them to be effective. Not something I would use against a 5 star onslaught.

If you've never tried a knife-only playthrough, you should give it a go. Did the whole game on my last playthrough (including Phantom Liberty) with just knives and it was quite a time. By the time someone works up the moxie to do MaxTac hijinx, they might've polished their skills into a mid-range murder machine. Maybe I'll surf Youtube later and see how others have fared -- Cyberpunk doesn't have so great an AI that headshots are a far-off prospect, after all.

i put at 7 because i think the gameplay is very engaging, satisfying, and appropriately deep, the game has some glaring flaws i cant overlook. i also dont think the writing and direction are the greatest. and the player character is bland and uncharismatic

I won't rehash why that is as several other posters and I have done so...but yeah, mascV is most definitely bland uncharasmatic.

its just that the game is still definitely broken. ive had several glitches that caused me to have to reload or restart quests. looooots of unrendered textures around town. lots of jank. not enough to ruin it, but enough to dock points bc its interrupting my experience
