I suspect they won't implement a number of items on the playlist because it would result in revolt within days.

They are, however, probably going to crash the economy and set in a great deal of low grade frustrating evils that will never be overturned because Muh Bipartisanship while Trump and company make a great show out of not accomplishing the big P25 evils.

If Trump was the ruling class, then yes it would. Trump is not the ruling class and it will not.

If you're scared shitless of the big menacing first amendment political rival killing mass deportation civil war talk that they will never actually follow through on, you're less likely to notice the five, ten, twenty different lower profile but still bad for everyone that isn't an oligarch items they're going to pass, unopposed, while the goon squad is out ranting and sucking the air out of the room.

And everyone will shake hands and nod and say "yes he was a bad president but we stopped him from being a dictator" while never again considering these policies afterward.

Ive already accepted that the oligarchs have taken over and will get everything they want. What Im most concerned about are our civil rights being taken away.

As long as you aren't a minority in a position where you can be made an example of I *think* it's fairly unlikely your civil rights will change in one direction or the other because it makes no money and is unsuitable as a distraction otherwise.

It's going to suck real bad for the thousands who are about to have the spotlight on for "look! We totally are actually doing something about The Border (nothing new, but actually reporting/emphasis on)

Empathy. I have empathy. Yes I am nor part of any group likely to lose their rights or be treated poorly but I don't want it to happen to anyone.
