While the race is still very much up in the air, I'm giggling because so many CEmen were insisting this was a done deal in Harris's favor in the days and weeks leading up to it yet now so many people are shook. I feel like nobody fucking looked at the polling -- this was widely predicted to be a close race. Hell, up until Monday, 538 was still reporting the odds favored Trump (which flipped to 50-49 in Harris's favor on Monday when the last polls dropped, iirc).

Overlooking that he literally has nothing to do with Project 2025, the Republicans already won the senate so if they keep control of the house, the Republicans will be able to pass pretty much whatever -- or, at least, what's not overruled by SCOTUS. Because, you know, SCOTUS.

Trump gave the Heritage Foundation his public blessing to set the GOP agenda, even if he ended up not agreeing with the whole 900 page document they wrote. Agenda 47 is just a simplified version of it anyway.

They were in a tough spot because Biden hadn't honored his commitment to be a one-term president (although I think he hadn't *publicly* stated that and it was more just what he was saying to insiders). If he'd bowed out and the Democrats went through a traditional primary, we might've had a stronger candidate at the top of the ticket.

After the results of the 2018 midterms, 2020 election and 2022 midterms, I am certainly stunned at what we're seeing tonight. And with what was reported as record voter turnout, too! Which now puts into question the whole notion that when more people vote, the dems perform better.

I suppose I need to see what all lesser seats were won for which party. Haven't seem much beyond NC.

What gets me is this is the most obvious corrupt gift in us history and people are handing him the duffel bags with the cash.

I really thought at a bare minimum this alone prevents him from winning. Because it's so obvious. When Elon says Trump needs to win so I don't go to jail, it's like on full display what the grift is.
