immigrants political situation I was involved in last year

JoCrazy 10/18/24 10:51:51 AM #1:	Without getting into too much personal details, last year I found myself technically homeless. Housing crisis here and Im disabled but getting disability takes forever. So, lack of money. Everything is fine now, but for 5 months last year I was a part of a local hotel program for people in between homes. I guess this program been going on for awhile as there were people there for a couple years. It was this old hotel that no longer is for the public. Well, October last year came around and we got notifications that we had to leave by the end of the month. Texas bussed a bunch of immigrants to Massachusetts. Governor Healey ended the hotel program for the local homeless and kicked us out in favor of immigrants taking the rooms, with very little notice. Luckily, things worked out for me, but I know it didnt for a lot of people. Im progressive as they come but sacrificing locals struggling for immigrants bussed here was pretty fucked up. There were protests outside the hotel from MAGA idiots being anti-immigrant. I posted some pics last summer here. They were so racist, I joined the counter-protest lol It was a weird situation and both parties are pretty fucking stupid regarding immigration tbh. --- Cape Cod made. Chicago and New York already with housing troubles then add in bused migrants. Chicago was using empty warehouses for some migrants. Don't know if it was covid or not but the government not having a big enough facilities in the border states is a problem.
