Here we go! After four months of preliminaries, we've narrowed it down to our final 128 -- now to narrow it down to the single best Pokemon.

You all know how this works, I've run enough of these damn tournaments. Vote for your favorite of the two Pokemon presented; the winner will move on in the bracket, the loser gets to stay in a PC Box for all eternity.

Rounds last 24 hours, give or take; sometimes I'm not always at my computer right on time, or have to post the next one a little early so I can move on to other parts of my day. It might also happen that I'm not able to post the next round on time at all, but I'll at least end the poll if I'm able to in that case.

If there's a tie that refuses to break, it will be decided with a quick Lightning Round. I'll go over what that entails if and when it comes up.

Not gonna lie, last round was a surprise. I honestly expected Mimikyu to at least make the final round of the Southwest bracket.

So, SV's literal memelord boss' ace monster is a Tera Electric Mismagius; I never really understood what they were going for with that. Many of the other off-type Tera bosses in the game make sense (eg Truleewoodo). Anyway, I have nothing against Mightyena, though it is a little abused by both Teams Magma and Aqua, but chose Mismagius.

Mechanically I get it, a Tera Electric-type with Levitate has no weaknesses at all and forces the player to think on their feet rather than mash a Ground move.

But as far as theming, yeah, it's a confusing fit.

Mightyena. Fluffy hyena pooch. Admittedly just a discount Houndoom, but I like it. I've never really cared for Mismagius. If it leaned into Misdreavus' wild flowy hair more instead and skipped the hat, I might like it more, idk.

Electric types are only weak to ground. But this Pokemon has levitate so that didnt matter. Thematically the Pokemon didnt fit but mechanically it was great. Eel Pokemon was the only one to do this prior but it never was a threat due to lack of offensive pressure and dont think it could set up for a sweep either.

Misdreavus is my favorite Ghost Pokemon. Mismagius is pretty good though, and I like it more than Mightyena.

Mightyena's debut was squandered due to Dark being a Special type at the time of Gen 3.

Mightyena easily for me. Has always been a top 3 Hoenn mon for me.

I do like Mismagius though so not too sad to see the results.

Zubat was too annoying for too many gens for anything in its line to get far at all.

Tinkaton is too disappointing a Pokmon to advance. Design and memes only go so far, but not far enough to take out a starter Pokmon.
