I won't go into details because i already feel like a complete fucking idiot and everytime i tell the story i feel even worse because no sane person would have fell for it.

After a long investigation by the fraud department and my branch, the funds could not be recovered. Im now on the hook to pay it all back and it'll take me years.

This world is full of shitty, evil people. And idiots like me who are a target to take advantage of. I wish I could believe in karma, but I don't. People get away with shit all the time and nothing ever happens to them while good people go through hell. It's fucked.

that's way worse than what i lost... my uncle's boss stiffed him out of his last paycheck in which the check couldn't be transferred to me so i could cover his rent. it left me having to make some calls after paying the full amount because that shit hurt if i didn't have any savings leftover.

my grandfathers idea: don't pay them (not the best option).

My wife got scammed a couple weeks ago ($1800) and she's absolutely beating herself up about it
