If someday, without doing a reboot, the MCU tries to bring back retired characters with new actors, how would you react? They might have a story explanation for it. Like a version from a different universe or something

Eventually the MCU will die if they can't bring back old heroes. It will then either just stop, or they will do a complete reboot of the franchise and start over

I'd even accept new actors for characters that haven's retired yet as long as they're good at the role.

I don't think MCU was planning to go this far. They Will reboot it eventually, probably after 25 years from Ironman release.

The Hulk and War Machine were both recast from their initial appearances. There's been precedent for it since near the beginning. I don't understand why they're so averse to it now.

absolutely, and i'm really confused as to why they haven't already done this to keep mcu alive. must be in the contracts.

i mean, comics get different writers and artists and everything all the time. movies too. this really shouldn't be a problem, if anything, comic book movies should be embracing this (batman) more than anything.

There are only so many. And the retired ones still have countless stories from the comics they never got to do. And characters who never met in the mcu have relationships in the comics we didn't get to explore

Since the multiverse is now a thing in the MCU they can just make an Iron Man movie set in a different timeline

Yeah, I'd accept new actors in general to keep a character around. They just have to cast well, you know?

I watch Doctor Who, the lead character changes constantly lol

I will not accept new MCU anything that isn't Guardians of the Galaxy or is not helmed by Joss Whedon
