... Does it still count as public intoxication? Is this legal right from the privacy of your own home?

I'm visiting Ohio, where I lived until age 25 . Highly doubt I could sit in the park with a joint, despite "legality".

actually I checked google and I guess I was wrong about it being legal in MA. but I doubt it would be enforced

it makes no sense to me that it would be banned while cigs are allowed

So here in vegas it'd legal in residences only. But of course tourists do it downtown and on the strip. The most I've seen so far is that someone will just ask you to put out. I have yet to see anyone get arrested since it became legal.

In New York, you're allowed to smoke and/or vape weed anywhere you can smoke a cigarette.

Not entirely sure if it's like that everywhere, but I would assume so.

Here in Michigan they have festivals here where you can smoke weed in my city. They had one on 4/20.

yeah before it was legal in MA we had hempfest every year and thousands of people would smoke weed in Boston Common without getting busted, even with cops standing right there getting contact high.

In Colorado, the rules are very similar to alcohol. Public intoxication and DWI are very possible with marijuana, as well as open container (youre supposed to leave your purchase in its legal container until you get home and then leave it there).

If you get caught smoking while driving or if you admit to having smoked earlier, then you get a DWI (Ive known multiple people who have gotten them). Theres a lot of discretion involved, but most people follow the rules because we are just happy enough to have rules that reflect the wishes of the citizens.

In Maryland you can't smoke weed in public. Also if you grow, the plants have to be out of public view and locked away so no one can get to them, like indoors or in a locked greenhouse or something. Can't just throw them in your back yard in the open.

It highly depends on where you are. Minnesota just *finally* legalized recreational, and our lawmakers are either highly incompetent or just really chill cuz:

Smoking or vaping cannabis is allowed outside anywhere it isn't prohibited by the Minnesota Clean Indoor Air Act, such as in a park, on a sidewalk or outside a restaurant or bar, unless the City of Minneapolis passes an ordinance prohibiting it.

A lot of places here definitely ARE trying to pass ordinances to prevent it (such as in parks), but it's very case by case still.

Minnesota is also the place that fucking ACCIDENTALLY allowed THC edibles to be legal well before full recreational was because Republicans are fucking idiots lol

I smoke at parks all the time. Nothing like having a joint in a big grass field and reading a comic.
anyways, it's technically not legal, but I see it as having a glass of wine on a picnic in a park. It'd be pretty weird and petty to be busted for that.
I stay away from people, too, in case they don't care for the smell or something.

I dont partake but the Lakeshore trail in Chicago reeks of the stuff. Its almost but not quite annoying. Certainly not the most annoying thing about the trail.

It's a funny question to ask. Nobody will bother you.

Nobody is going to bother you if you smoke outside, just don't drive after smoking because the cops will bust you.

I've never been bothered by the cops for smoking outside, they don't really give a shit unless you're driving and smoking.

I can't imagine anyone giving a fuck any more. It basically has a way better reputation than alcohol at this point and most people will think "oh that person's about to be a little drowsy/hungry/anxious"

In florida is only partially legal but it's pretty much used everywhere, hell some people smoke stronger shit in broad daylight
