Please explain then how implementing some form of gun control if you want to change gun culture in America is not preferrable to your apparent remedy which is nothing?

I'm not even sure what your argument is? Yes there are facets of American culture that make implementing sweeping gun control difficult, no one is actually saying it's not but changes must be implemented for said culture to change at all.

You haven't actually presented a reason for anything you're just going "Nuh uh!"

Also this is why no one likes you shock because if they disagree with you at all you do nothing but attack their intelligence. I never once said "Take all guns and magically fix gun problems in the US" but that should be the end goal even if it has to be achieved slowly.

While I agree gun control (red flag laws, registration compliance) works in some regard.

America has way too many guns already. Compared to other countries, America has something like 42% of the worlds guns. I think a ban just wouldnt work in America. It does need to be more regulated however.

And I did support a solution - targeted groups can arm themselves in the mean time. More security at LGTBQ bars / events / etc. Defend yourselves until the government does its job and defends its citizens.

Theres also the fact that banning guns doesnt make the guns everyone already owns disappear. I guarantee gun owners are not just going to surrender all their guns because the government asks them to.

The 2nd amendment is WAY too deeply driven into the people of this country to just get rid of guns and call it a day.
