Most GOP members do not believe the election was stolen. The actual actions taken show that it isnt a real belief. They do believe it is the thing that a GOP member should claim to believe though.
The voters absolutely do believe it was stolen though, and several GOP officials do as well.

Alito hanging an upside down flag just days after jan 6th is probably the biggest smoking gun that conservative officials legitimately do believe this shit or support it in some form

Yeah, polls like this one have been showing around 30% of the country believes Biden's election was illegitimate, with a stark partisan divide between those who say it was legitimate and those who say it wasn't, with almost 70% of Republican voters saying it wasn't.

https://www.nbcnews.com/meet-the-press/meetthepressblog/almost-third-americans-still-believe-2020-election-result-was-fraudule-rcna90145

We can't get into the heads of the respondents to know for sure why they would say that but we can pretty safely say that the majority of Republican voters either: 1. Truly believe that the 2020 election was stolen despite the lack of evidence or 2. are hostile enough to the democratic process that they're willing to lie and claim the election was not legitimate even though they know it was.

Either way, that's not good.

They dont though. There are some true believers, but most of the voters say that the election was stolen not out of actual belief but because it is useful as a signal.
Saying the election was stolen means you support Trump, not that you think the election was stolen.

It is something that a typical Biden supporter cant say so it is a reliable signal for showing tribal membership.

If the typical republican voter actually believes the election was stolen, then we will see Biden win in a landslide this November.

Why did Alito, a supreme court justice in a lifetime position, have a symbol of stop the steal at his home then?

We had an actual literal insurrection attempt and you still dont think many people believe Trump should be the rightful president?

In the end it doesnt even matter though. Claiming to think the election was stolen is virtually the same as actually believing it if thats all you shout in public.
