  1. It's pretty rare, the villains go out of their way to gather it.
  2. A bunch of it was delivered to Earth by people like Darkseid.
  3. It can be synthesized though it takes a lot of energy.
  4. You only need a small amount to do anything so if you have a big chunk of kryptonite you can break it now you have two chunks of kryptonite. Kryptonite win every time.
