No, but I'd love to. You'd never have quieter neighbors and cemeteries can be good for seeing wildlife.

There's one nearby, but up the road a ways.

I grew up across the street from a small one. When I played catch with my Dad and Brother, one of us was usually across the street in the open cemetery to make a three way.

The Graves were far from the road.

When I first started house shopping I looked at a house right next door to a cemetery on a dead end street. I actually viewed it as a positive. The realtor admitted it was harder to sell a house in that location and I said it was great.

You would always have quiet neighbors who would never complain and cemeteries are always kept beautifully landscaped. The fact it made the house cheaper was a bonus. I just didnt like the house but I actually liked it being next to a cemetery.

The home we lived in when I was born was just downhill from one. But I wouldn't say we were next to it though. I barely remember that place anyway. We moved across town when I was like 4.

Reminds me of my niece's husband's brother. Was driving his car at about 5am back in October 2017, and went flying over a blind hill, and right into the side of an 18-wheeler that was turning into a gas station. Pronounced dead at the scene.

Totally agree....except the Highschool in town put their Track and Field right next to it which I find highly disrespectful. ...In terms of quietness.

Kind of. There was a cemetery quite close to the house I grew up in. It was slightly down the road from our property and then across the street, plus on the other side of a small strip of trees and a river. Kind of like this.

I'm fine with it, though ideally its a freestanding cemetery and not a cemetery attached to a church. My experience with churches is that they often do not have enough of a parking lot to accommodate their attendees and so spill over all of the street parking in a block radius every week.

I live across the street from one and they are basically our only neighbors (I live in a nature preserve). It's pretty amazing, actually. Very quiet all the time and they keep it beautifully landscaped. It's also technically a memorial garden so it looks much nicer with the headstones hidden behind plants and bushes.

Not next to one but I did used to frequently ride my bike through a huge one that had a resident turkey, on my way to work. All the friends and family Ive lost have been cremated but I always thought about them when Id roll through (there was a road that went through the middle of the graveyard, I wasnt doing some weird, disrespectful thing). I kinda meditated when I was there, I miss it. The turkey was badass too, itd strut around slowing down traffic and everyone respected it.

The one I mentioned is very well-kept, too. Its probably not classified as a public park but if it were itd be one of the nicer ones in the city. With my family members, it was elders in the family that decreed they be cremated; I dont care enough one way or the other but sometimes seeing how nice the place is I kinda wish wed buried them there.

A similar thing happened to a classmate of mine in high school. There's a hill in town nicknamed "bird hill" because if you have any speed at all going over it you'll jump. It's steep on the other side so you'll go pretty far before "landing".

She had just gotten her license and was one of the first times she was allowed to drive unsupervised. She gathered her friends to watch her jump bird hill and totally wiped out. She died right there with her friends watching after crashing.

There's so many people that get hurt there, not just by jumping it, but also because you can't see over it from either side. As far as I know, now only the people that live on that street use that road, despite it cutting right through the edge of town.
