Isnt it wild how the Activision deal might have ended up being the worst thing to ever happen to the Xbox brand?

Before, Xbox accounted for about 6% of Microsofts total business. The ABK acquisition was the largest acquisition in Microsofts history, and all of a sudden put all the eyes of the trillion dollar decision makers on the Xbox brand, and theyve been in practical free fall ever since.

They're laying off multiple employees from different studios.
The fact they're not keeping Tango and supporting them in making a new game tells you everything you need to know. More than 3 million people have played Hi-Fi and that wasn't enough.

There's no room for any creativity or newness under Microsoft. Everything has to be a massive commercial success apparently.
This is the obvious consequence of a strategy like gamepass. When you give all your games away for a few bucks, you devalue your own products.

It's pretty much all one studio. The layoffs are all from Bethesda and Bethesda subs. This is probably due to lower than expected Redfall and Starfield performance than it is to do with Hi Fi Rush.

Activision, Blizzard, and King weren't affected. King alone make like a trillion dollars a year.

They're consolidating. Like all companies do.

All these big tech companies are laying off.

They would have done it regardless. It is just the culture.

Don't like it become anti-capitalist.
