I'm outside taking a smoke break at the juvenile detention center and this dude comes out from in between parked state vehicles in the parking lot and right off bat announces he just got released from jail (which the adult detention center is just down the road) all he wanted was a cigg.

Just seems odd he felt the need to tell me he just got released from jail. And th be lurking In the shadows between two vans.

I gave him one but told him he had to leave.

Now I'm just a tad paranoid.

Also side note seems even odder they'd release him around this time of day and just let him go on foot. Doesn't work like that in prison anyways.

He was telling you because it means he didn't have all his stuff with him and yes they just send you on your way when they release you from jail. It's not a nice place. Stop being so scared of everything.

Wasn't scared. I've dealt with inmates before

Him telling me seemed odd to me cause it's clear I work here (uniform) so telling me coulda not worked out for him as some people in my career just have such a disdain for people who have been locked up. Fortunately for him I don't.

But him coming out of the shadows like that and saying what he did right off bat is grounds for being suspicious of a person.

Slightly paranoid was the wrong wording. It put me on a higher alert feeling.
