So whats the excuse in why a game like tormented souls has uncensored nudity in the first 5 minutes of the game (on a traditionally attractive character)? This game is niche indie title and far from popular.

*Also throwing it out there that when it comes to "well, they are just bullying asian developers" that phantasy star online 2 is like the horniest game we have right now, and that game is left as is. They actually reversed changes they made to some outerwear/basewear clothes when that new genesis version came out, lol.*

Again, just because there are exceptions doesn't mean Sony doesn't have a big problem with unnecessary censorship and strong arming companies (specifically targeted at Asian developers) into adhering to its Californian HQ standards. My guess is that their teams can't target all the games, or that tormented souls isn't your standard anime game, so it didn't catch their eye. These are just guesses of course.

well that was the dev Shift Up actually, and according to them what they have delivered is the uncensored game. Its too bad the horn dogs who pretend to all be for artistic integrity are actually against it if it isnt pandering to them

No need to be aggressive. Theres evidence of Developers outright stating these things. Hell even Yoko Taro indirectly called them out recently with an interview with Stellar Blades developer. Just because there were censoring issues beforehand doesn't mean we should ignore the issues coming from Sony California now. It was annoying then, and its annoying now. Just now it seems like its unfairly directed towards the Asian industry.

People dont know what censorship is.

censorship is when another party deliberately changes your thing to match with their views.

Not when a company changes it themself, in order to fix mistakes or make something easier for everyone to get into. It is also nit when a game isnt 1:1 during localization.

And in the case of this game, the game is the same. They changed some graffiti. Wow game ruined.

It is almost always racists and really gross people who get upset over this kind of thing for some reason. But they also dont mind when their beliefs force others to hide, or even be assaulted.

Yeah I like women, and yes there is evidence that there is double standards within the industry against Asian developers with Sony. Saying its "complete bullshit" whilst disregarding the fact that I literally posted developers complaining about it, and then you don't even come back with any evidence arguing against it, says a lot.

Asian people are being denied attendance at university and now Asian media is being heavily censored and criticized.

I mean, my book idea has bizarre fanservice-y moments and if I made a video game adaptation, it wouldn't be on Playstation. The "main hook" would never fly under their guidelines and I'm from the West to begin with.

Sorry, but do you really think they did all the outfits, all the trailers, give out the demo and review version out, go gold with 1.0 and put them like they are into the retail version, and after all that is done, their top priority for a day 1 patch is, "you know what, actually we don't like these outfits, let's change them ASAP"?

Most people seem to think so. Actually even at ResetEra the people who play it largely really like it (though you get banned if you say she is hot or anything, so they just avoid commenting on that or saying they enjoyed it despite the sexualization).

Give it a couple years and people will be cosplaying Eve at every convention.
