Wolverine and the X-men was one of the nicer one's around that time. Like if it had more seasons it probably would've been one of my favorite animated Marvel shows, but it ended too soon much like Green Lantern TAS(at least this one threw me a bone in Young Justice S4).

Why is Wolverine so popular anyway, is it because he's a rough-outside-but-soft-inside archetype?

"Average Joe" is a trolling term since it's completely an opinion. "Overachieving" is also an opinion. - SBAllen (Hellhole: 52458377)

People liked him because he was the rebel and the claws were cool. The 90s cartoon and movies made that contrast really apparent with Cyclops being the wet blanket.

I almost feel X-men 97 is over correcting with Wolverine...did not need for him to hijack the plot but hell he almost feels like a background character this season.

Wolverine was always depicted in a pretty good light though.

We got X-men 97, X-men Evolution, Wolverine and the X-men, all the Fox movies, and that bad ass Wolverine Origins video game. They were all pretty good outside of a few decent Fox movies.

That's the moment when I lost interest in the character.

He was the best, but damn. That'd be like having a cartoon called Han Solo and the Star Wars. Part of the appeal of the X-Men is that you have so many characters to choose from. Why dumb it down to just being about him?

If the X-Men need Wolverine more than Wolverine needs the X-Men, he should branch off and just go solo. It's better than standing in everyone else's way.

I remember there was a time when Wolverine was on every X-team. Unless he still is.

Regenerative powers. If he loses a limb, that limb turns into another Wolverine and overshadows its own X-Men team.

There was a time when Gambit was nearly as popular. People kept demanding he be put into the Singer movies. Imagine if he was. We could be living in a universe with Deadpool and Gambit instead.
