So, for several months, The Sword and the Stone was on the Continue Watching screen. I watched the movie, but it said that I was about 13 minutes into it. I moved the cursor to the end and it still showed that I was 13 minutes in and beckoned me to continue watching. I watched the last two minutes of the movie, plus the multilingual credits. It went away. It didn't do it when I tried it the first time, but it went away the second time.

Weeks later, The Sword and the Stone pops back up on the Continue Watching screen. It doesn't even show that it's started. It's just there. <_<

Buggy-ass streaming service.

I have a habit of watching Disney movies before going to Disney World, but I'm not in a mood for The Sword and the Stone since it doesn't really tie in with anything. There's a poster in the entryway with Merlin on it, but that's it really.

It is kind of an oddly neglected movie overall considering it was the company's last animated movie completed during Walt's lifetime.

Alright, alright. I'll watch it again. (Before my trip to Florida.) I have my doubts as to whether or not it'll go away from the Continue Watching screen though.

I had heard they were going to make a live action version of the movie but not sure if that was confirmed or a rumor.

I think the only reason they haven't is because they're not sure what to do with... her.

I mean, if you assume bugs are a given, this sounds like one of the less unpleasant ones you could have.

In one scene, Arthur is transformed into a squirrel. Things are going fine until he runs into Girl Squirrel who falls instantly in love with him despite his attempts to get away (sort of a reverse Pepe Le Pew scenario). Eventually, Arthur is turned back into a human and the heartbroken Girl Squirrel is shown pitifully crying.

It's a surprisingly uncomfortable scene and for a number of reasons.

It would seem like a real elephant in the room to leave Girl Squirrel out or to simply give her a passive cameo where she's running along a branch and has no interest in Arthur -- squirrelified or otherwise. And a surprising number of fans seem to want Merlin to transform her into a human. That would present its own problems.
