went to pick up a package from my front doorstep, and lo and behold the neighbor's pit was loose in my yard again and charged at me

was holding my laptop in my other hand since i was in the middle of a call, so i was a bit slower than usual in picking up the package and closing the door, but i managed to get back in the house and slam the door like a split second before it got to me

disappointing, can't even go for walks in the neighborhood without worrying about them, since that's not the only house in the neighborhood with pits that get loose periodically

wasn't long ago someone got attacked in the area, albeit by a pack of huskies; seems like too many people lack the sense of train or properly secure their dogs

No that was me, doing my part and keeping children safe from these beasts.

Yeah I don't remember how I did but both pits I had all I had to do was yell yard and they'd come back into the yard. They never went outside without me with them.

for sure. i have friends with gentle and extremely well-behaved pits, even around strangers. this is not one of those cases.
