Was worried that the show would be a bit too melancholy/serious, but it's got good humor especially with the mini-episodes. The minisodes I feel better capture the original show's tone despite having more mature themes and language. But yeah, episode 1 is a little bit too much in the melancholy side even though they got the character dynamics accurately.
