Because temporal paradoxes are a pain to deal with, such that the only way to stop them from destroying the entire time-space continuum is to use the time machine to convince your past self to never use the time machine.

time travel is real, but we can only swap consciousness when time traveling. When you travel back in time you are sending your current brain into your younger brain and your younger brain swaps places with your current brain.

I'd be happy with some type of cryosleep. I'd gladly sleep for 500 years and wake up to flying cars and hoverboards.

How do you know it didn't happen already? You really think it would be public knowledge? Also, a theory I have always had is that time travel is so dangerous, that everytime someone invents it, someone from the future goes back and undoes the invention.

Here try these:

Say I sat down tomorrow and spent the next twenty years of my life inventing the time machine. Now why didn't I receive a visit from my older self telling my younger self how I did it?

Or what if I went back in time and prevented my grandparents from meeting each other. How the heck can I be around to do that if my grandparents never met each other.

Did you know that time travel will kill your arse faster. Every living organism has what is called the circadian rhythm AKA your internal body clock. It is that body clock that tells you when to sleep, eat or what ever but it is also responsible for aging you. Now there is nothing in the universe that can stop that body clock meaning that every time you time travelled and came back you would have still aged i.e if you went into the future and spent say 6 months there and then came back to the present day you would have aged those 6 months.

I agree with the logic but how is this supposed to kill me faster? Those 6 months did not magically dissappear; I just enjoyed them in the future. My total lifespan (age) does not change at all.

It might be those episodes in Fringe. The one with Peter Weller and the one in the the house. The 2nd one breaks my heart. I understand him a good bit. I think he was doing it for good reasons. Not knowing the havoc it caused.

Tom Delonge says we have and it's a matter of vibrating matter at certain frequencies to move throughout space time which is actually just some up a down versus right and left.

Also he's back on tour because he needs money
