I love how Youtube sucks so bad, even on a site that runs smooth, the embed still lags like shit.

Yeah, I've never watched these guys, but I love some harmless internet drama and apparently their fans were pissed. They lost 100k subscribers over the weekend.

And apparently this announcement coincided with an announcement that they're doing their own version of a Buzzfeed show called Worth It where they compared food dishes from cheap, midrange, and expensive restaurants. I'm seeing more than a couple complaints on their subreddit about them claiming poverty while doing a series where "Steve eats thousand dollar gold-sprinkled steak."

They are technically doing the Worth it show with the original cast that included one of the people on the couch. But yeah never watched their videos since it seemed like a lot of ghost hunting stuff.

They're claiming they don't make enough money from YouTube so they're moving to a subscription service. Fans point out that they only release a few videos a month and have a studio in Hollywood with 25 employees.

$6 a month to watch one youtube channel putout a couple of videos is an interesting streaming decision...

They tried to sell the idea as they were doing it for their viewers so they can pay for their tv quality videos without ruining it to deal with advertisers.

They back tracked and now saying all their videos will be available on youtube after a month on their streaming service.

Yeah, it's kind of wild. Dropout costs that much and I think they put out a video every weekday.

They get like a million views every video. How are they not making money? Sounds like poor money management to me (like having your office in fucking hollywood)

Oh, believe me, a lot of people pointed out that these guys first got big on Buzzfeed Unsolved, sitting in a concrete room and using colored text on a black screen.
