A somewhat happy ending, all things considered. It wouldn't do for the baseball world's golden boy to end up in Pete Rose territory, lol. From what I heard, foreign players who need assistance often rely on translation/staff for additional things, like navigating banks and laws, so after awhile it didn't seem like Ohtani was doing things on the sly.

His translator is a moron. How did he think having an ESPN interview where he said ohtani gave him the money to help him out was a good idea? There's no way that wouldn't have gotten back to ohtani
