Police shows are probably mostly watched by people who support the police, so the backlash isnt exactly surprising unfortunately

I DO support the fictional portrayal of police and what they SHOULD be, in shows like this, Law and Order, The Rookie, and so on. That said, the key word there is "fictional," unfortunately. I support the idea and ideal of police, but not the unfortunate reality. EDIT: That said, you're right, a lot of people watching probably DO support current police, and that's sad, and it also makes sense why they're freaking out over this.
