I didn't buy a house back in 2018 even though I had the means to do so. Now I'm stuck with an interest rate higher than 5% for a house that would've sold for half as much back then.

I was going through the process of finding a house and going through the weekly put in an offer, someone else paid $80k above asking in cash type thing and I ended up finally getting a place two weeks after the rates hiked.

Obviously I wasn't procrastinating or anything so there's not really anything else I could have done but it was still frustrating.

yea, not buying Bitcoin when people were first talking about it, and it was still affordable.

also, not buying Ethereum when it came out afterwards, when people were talking about it.

it makes sense to be skeptical about new stuff like that, but it sucks looking back and imagining what could have been.
