Usually used Google Podcasts but with Google being Google and scrapping it soon I need to find a replacement app.

I've used Podcast Republic for years. I've tried a few other apps but this has the UI I most prefer.

Mostly Spotify (feel free to laugh). I don't listen to too many. For a while I thought podcasts there didn't have ads, but apparently that's just because the ones I was listening to didn't tick the box to allow them. I wound up trying to listen to a couple that did, and it was so horribly, jarringly intrusive.

My selection is a bit limited in avoiding podcasts that do that, but I'm living with it. For now. I'll probably earmark some recommendations from this thread to check out later.
