When I watched through it I never saw these animation errors that supposedly ruined it for people. Just makes me think they went frame by frame and found those that you aren't suppose to see anyway.

Honestly it was less errors more so just absolutely shit tier animations up until they got past the movie rehashes. Once they were there, they improved a lot but man, on the first arc some of the animations are horrendously bad when you look back at them.

never watched the movies?

it definitely picks up post first 2 movies. unless you never seen them then it'll probably still be cool to watch but does have some filler and stuff. the first tournament is were it really starts to pick up and overall is pretty good rest of the way. problem is that's like 40-50? episodes in or something.

yea watching it you're not likely to notice it. especially your first time. but after knowing about it they do stick out a lot more even while watching it at normal speed. but you can look back at a lot of older anime and see the same kind of stuff.

I'd do movies + manga instead, then watch the anime. the anime's alright, but the manga has story arcs that aren't in the anime and I thought the manga version of ToP was better.
still a good show, not as good as og dbz or db, but was still fun to watch.

Thats why I tell people to watch battle of gods and resurrection F then pick up the series from there. Unless you care about the extra stuff added for the series. They apparently did that with the Sand Land series. Took the movie and cut it up with extra/extended scenes for the first 6 episodes.

Tbh I'd say skip RoF if not for some stuff it introduces. The movie may look pretty but it's still bad lol. Genuinely some of the worst major DB things out there. Either way, the first new arc is fine, the second has interesting stuff but has a shit ending, and the third is turn your brain off fun.

For the manga only ones
The first one is pretty good but fizzles out near the end while the second one is like if you made the second/third form Freeza fight into an entire arc

TBH I've never seen the Gas Arc described like that but lmao that couldn't be more true.

My condolences.

I think it starts a bit okay, but the Goku Black and Tournament of Power makes it all worth it. Like ToP is legit some of the best Dragon Ball stuff period.

I personally could never watch Dragon Ball without hearing Sean Schemmel, Chris Sabat, and Chris Ayres. As much respect as I have for Goku's original voice actor, I cannot stand her voice as Goku.

With the passing of Ayres though, I wonder if Linda Young would ever come back to do Frieza.

It picks up at Goku Black, id just watch Battle of the gods and Resurrection of f movies instead for those arcs.

im enjoying it based on pure nostalgia alone I missed it when it came out I dont care what the neckbeards have to say. The fact that I can just run through all the episodes is a nice treat for me
