The word "fuck" is being used in the sense of expressing anger, contempt, or disgust (as in "Fuck you!"), not in the sense of engaging in coitus (as in "I would totally fuck them"). "Fuck" is a remarkably versatile word, isn't it?

That seems like a silly thing to arrest for, if he owned it legally. I could certianly get asking him to cut it out, but arresting seems a bit far.

No I kinda agree, though I sympathize with his snow problem, he could have blown up the car in a worst case scenario or created freezing ice conditions on the road. It was an extremely reckless way to clear snow.

Yeah, but it seems like the kind of case where just going to the guy and telling him "hey, this is really dumb and you're gonna have to cut it out" could've worked? Now if they did that first and he refused to stop, fair next on the arrest.

Eh, I feel like somebody literally dumb enough to use a flamethrower for such a thing at all probably isn't going to learn anything without some kind of consequences for their actions.

I get where you're coming from, but I've seen a lot of cases where people just genuinely don't realize this kind of shit until it's pointed out to them. Hence; warn first, then quickly scale up if that doesn't work.

I think this makes sense when it comes to using something already premade, but the dude literally built his own flamethrower. You have to kinda realize there's a reason you had to BUILD, and not buy, such a thing.
