I'm at the point where I just enjoy whatever I feel like enjoying on TV, and then the majority of the wrestling content I like comes from shit like Up Up Down Down, or blog channels like Asuka's and Danhausen's, and so on.

I havent watched wrestling since around 2012, but based on lists and podcasts, AEW seems to have terrible booking all around. WWE doesnt seem to have great booking either and their weekly shows are an hour too long, but their top story sounds like its at least interesting and mostly well booked aside from some bad choices here and there.

Wrestlemania is this weekend and I know one match. They probably still do the two nights right? Aew uhh geez I think Sting is having or had his final match soon. In his case I actually believe it since he somehow aged backwards in AEW.

AEW has some cool stuff but there were periods if time when I was following it and it just didn't quite work for me. Also I heard Wardlow cooled off, AGAIN! heh

Outside of the Reigns/Cody stuff, the only matches I know of for sure are Rhea/Becky and Iyo/Bayley.

Feels kinda weird that the matches that feel the most well built are the women's.

Actually, I also know Sami Zayn vs. Gunther, since a lot of people were hoping for Chad Gable to be in the match.

Sheen, OK I read rumblings of some of that stuff but without you bringing it up again. I forgot I saw that people were upset Chad Gable wasn't in that match. I like Zayn a lot but there is no way he is beating Gunther.

Those two women's matches should be great.

I think Zayn may have a chance if only because they may want to take the title off of Gunther to push him further, and they may have figured Zayn was the best choice. Which I get. Zayn is very over. That said, the most over person in the moment, especially considering the storyline, is Gable, so they missed an opportunity.

That said, yes, the women's matches should absolutely be great. Another underrated match I forgot about is Jey vs. Jimmy Uso. Jey is by and far away the more talented Uso, but I do expect the two of them to create a very fun match.

Gable is that over? Last I knew he was still shushing ppl and had Otis as his muscle in the Alpha Academy. It's just Gunther had been so dominant and even though I love Zayn he still feels like too much of an underdog.

Actually last time Zayn was IC champ he was doing that paranoid Fidel Castro looking gimmick hah. Wrestling sure is a wild ride.

Yeah, they pushed Gable a tiny bit, and the crowd just ate it up. He has a natural charisma that, combined with his talent, people literally booed the fact that Zayn won the title shot over Gable, despite Zayn also being a fan favorite.

EDIT: He's still "shooosh!"ing people, but WWE let him showcase his talent enough, and Alpha Academy is a face stable, that people legitimately love him.

I actually did start to like Gable when he was doing a program with AJ Styles. And I remember him and Corbin had a hell of a match for the Kotr tournament finals. Which is basically a comedy tournament. So the winner has to be ready for a comedy mid/low card run. Heh. *small sigh*

AEW fans and even their wrestlers and owner brought it on themselves.
When ratings were going up and good they were all bragging about it. Jericho was talking about how in 6 months he thinks they'd be beating Raw in the ratings and was even trying to trademark the "One Million Dollar Man" moniker.
Tony was always bragging about demos and ratings.

Now things are going down the shitter suddenly that talk is out of bounds.

Gable is an extraordinary talent, honestly. He's incredibly charismatic, and he has talent through the roof. His only problem is he's so small. WWE let him shine through a bit, and the crowd absolutely loves him. The problem is they don't seem ready to commit to him, and that's the problem. If people didn't love Gable so much, they'd be entirely behind Zayn. But Gable seems like an even bigger underdog than Zayn, and even more talented, if you can believe it, so most people were hoping Gable'd get the shot.

Whats even funnier and pathetic is that due to some peoples sensitivities over what went down with CM Punk in AEW, the fanbase itself is now split. A literal civil war lol.

Fair enough Sheen. I get that. Also aorry I was talking about WWE in an AEW topic, but I did mention Sting. AEW has way too many titles (some of this is b/c of RoH but still). I don't even remember who the AEW world champ is. I know MJF eventually lost it to maybe Adam Cole? *sighs*

Eh, even Punk has gone on record saying he handled things in AEW very poorly. It had nothing to do with "sensitivities." His whole thing, now, is that he has grown from it.

Oh, I love AEW, too. I just admittedly follow it much less. I feel like AEW has better overall talent, but much worse consistency/storylines. Like, don't get me wrong, I love Adam Cole and Adam Page and Kenny Omega and so on, but when it comes to AEW, I'm honestly more interested in their midcard stuff, like The Best Friends, because their main event picture just feels all over the place.
