im just too scared to date anymore because my ex was abusive and I dont wanna deal with that again.

I just see everyone as a friend these days but yeah on occasion a girl will tell me she likes me and I feel horrible because I know Im gonna have to turn her down.

It always sucks to reject someone but it's just the way it is.

Attractive people problems suck. You still need to vent, but many just calls you a baby and wish they had that problem.

Anyway, yeah. Hurting people sucks. Hopefully she took it well though. You at least found like you let her down as gently as possible. That's kind of all you can do in these situations

It does always suck, especially because there are some times where people take rejection badly.

Taking time off from dating is normal enough after a breakup imo. Some people just jump right back in but I like to take my time. You need to find the right person.
