Medium has the best mouth feel. The texture of medium rare's too mushy imo.

I'd rather have McDonald's chucken nuggets than a rare or medium steak. If it isn't well done then it just tastes like garbage. I actually care if my food tastes good or not. But you can chose your own way if you like.

No, thats really not it. If hed rather eat crap like McNuggets over a medium steak, he doesnt like steak.

Its the same as if somebody tells you they really like beer but can only drink it in a shandy, or really likes tea but can only drink it when its got 15 sugars and half of it is milk. They dont really like those things.

All I can tell you is this: if you came into one of the restaurants I used to work in back in the day and asked for a well-done steak, you wouldnt get one. If you made a fuss about it, you would be asked to leave.

No im pretty sure telling people what they like and dont like/deciding for them even though they themselves should know what they like/dislike wouldnt fly, ergo being a really bold statement

I grew up in a household that prided itself on well done steak. Its ass.

If they were prided in it, at least someone there must have liked it, otherwise they would have changed.

My father wasnt exactly what you would call cultured or educated. He manned the grill and he would cook steaks 10 minutes on each side. Shit was drier than a cotton swab.

That's probably the problem. You need someone to cook it well done and is actually a good cook. A well done steak shouldn't be dry.

I didn't mean ketchup, if that's what you're impying. You pretty much marinade it while you're cooking it (I think that's the right term?). Do I really do it that much different than other people?

As a marinade and rub fan, yeah.

I never ate a steak tbh, the idea of the redness grosses me out even if it's supposed to be fine. Not a fan of beef anyway, even burgers are like eww to me.
