I think it's weird that businesses profit from exposing minors to sexual content. I think it's been hugely normalized when it shouldn't be. No accusations here, unless you run a hub or something.

Im not making this happen so I have no problem voicing my opinion on how something kinda ominous could possibly work out for the better. I dont need to go back to the obvious points about the worthless GOP and local leadership that want this for a completely different endgame. Im talking about this like a happy accident, like when big orange idiot wanted to ban Tik Tok previously for probably stupid reasons. If I were a Texas voter, I'd probably handle it with a different tone, but I have nothing on the responses I've gotten back to back pushing further into intentional ignorance.

I still think that PH would be wise to just encourage their users to just vote Republicans out. Porn has a larger control over things than people realize. Porn adopting VHS or DVD or Blu Ray had a bigger effect on media than anything else, same goes for streaming porn, which was around before shit like Netflix. Its extremely simple. Equating physical stores having a quick look at ID (which is often just a formality itself) is much different from giving a digital record to websites. The point is youre making an extremely stupid false equivalence. Porn sites already do have age restrictions via content warnings. Its the pop up that warns and tells minors their content isnt suitable for them and asks for a birth date.
The fact that many minors lie and bypass it is irrelevant. Minors often bypass and lie with fake IDs or simply not being checked in physical stores as well. Doesnt mean we should have police officers situated in every shop monitoring everyones purchases.

Another good description of yourself. Youre the one going full dunning-kruger acting like you know what youre talking about and that everyone is stringing you along when the simple fact is that you have very poor reasoning ability and a self-inflated ego where you think others are just trolling you when people are actually trying to get you to see reason and then criticize your behavior when you double down on your ignorance and act like a moody child.

When I scan in tour guests, we pull first name and DOB automatically into the system from any of the 50 states' ID. I dunno. Seems simple but again, I'm not being a pompous ass when I respond indignantly to people throwing absolute nonsense at the wall. I've asked for explanation several times and gotten shitty replies every time. Saying they profit from exposing minors to sexual content implies thats their main purpose and that minors are their target audience, not that some minors will still consume it. If you meant it as face value thats ridiculous and obviously applies to any age restricted product. Rated R movies and shows have profited from exposing minors to sexual content. Rated M games profited from exposing minors to sexual content. Explicit literature, erotica and songs have profited from exposing minors to sexual content.
Claiming porn sites intentionally targets children is right wing propaganda and theres zero evidence to support that.
