The games scale experience to the level that they expect you to be, so you know that you are on target when the experience yield is poor. A general rule that works for the early games is to fight every on screen encounter once and move on. Having said that, if you're playing on Nightmare, that all gets jettisoned because early game Nightmare is brutal.

As you get more quartz, options open up and battles become easier to navigate. Although there are still a number of tough fights in the game

agreed. just wished they make remasters or even put the classics onto the ps4/ps5. wanting to experience the sky portion of the series.

if say steam it's not an option on my fossil computer.
(may replace it once it craps out for good).

One of my biggest complaints with Cold Steel 3 and 4 is they're piss easy and the hard mode just makes battles take longer instead of require strategy

I didn't play the HARDEST option though

Oh and no grinding necessary for Sky
