Just curious, but do levels/equipment actually carry over between Episodes? Someone said it didn't, which...makes me want to play it less than I already did.

It doesn't, but they function as standalone games in the same vein as Mass Effect. There's an overarching story, but it's told in a way that feels like part of it is resolved, and has a stopping point for the time being when they end.

It doesn't, but it doesn't particularly bother me since the characters start out as more capable/powerful than they did in Remake anyway.

Yeah. You probably got 3 or 4 more years left to wait. Not too much longer.

Kingdom Hearts and FFVII Remake make me think the developers are pretentious and have their heads so far up their asses that they think this keeps being a good idea.

Besides if you were going to argue the tail theory, then we bring up Journey to the West, which was based on Sun Wukong. Or the plethora of D&D characters that came before Dragonball.

Maybe they can actually put in the cut stuff from the end and give proper context for the final boss. Then this game will be truly a masterpiece

Yet an FFVI remake would take 30 years.

30 years from release is in a bit over 2 weeks from now, so if they can finish a remake by then it'd be quite amazing.

Those guys beat me to it but all of that. It's done really well. I had an issue with it being episodic to but decided to give it a try anyway. The second one was pretty damn fun. I put over 120 hours in and I just barely beat the game today.

Never was a fan of Zidanes trance mode. Largely I thought it was useless outside of really small uses and slightly higher damage. I wish they would rework specifically his, as the others seem to be fine.
