A TC who shall remain nameless (unless they choose to out themself) made a topic that was just a Twitter post saying Sony was "working with an emulator group to bring more PS2 games to the PS5"

The topic was titled "Sony does what Nintendon't" and praised Sony for "strengthening emulation to allow access to older titles so they can be sold at reasonable prices"

The Community Notes clarifieid Sony was not, in fact, doing this

I assume TC realized their error and hoped they could delete the topic before anybody saw it

They did not delete fast enough

I'll own up to it, it's actually that two former workers at PCSX2 are working with Sony now, but separate from the emulator to do in house stuff.

But adding & posting all 3 screenshots would already throw it off so I'll just post the most important one

So it sounds like Sony is still going to work on backwards compatible emulation, just separate from that PS2 emulator?

Someone on discord posted it, I reposted then opened it fully, saw the community post, then went to that source, then saw the full picture rip

PCX2 was the best emulator that I certainly never used I tell you what. For PS2 purely.
