The Final Destination franchise is returning to life with a brand new movie, and weve learned that filming is underway this week. Additionally, we now have an official title!

The sixth installment in the saga is titled Final Destination: Bloodlines.

Producer Craig Perry writes on social media this week, After a long, hard slog through the pandemic and the strikes, Day One is finally in the can. 2025 will mark the 25th anniversary of the release of the first installment in the franchise. To honor the occasion with another worldwide theatrical release (in IMAX, no less) is a rare and wonderful thing.

Perrys post continues, See you next year! PS: I know, I know Pet Sematary: Bloodlines. But this is the title weve had for three years, and were keeping it for now.

Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein (Freaks) are directing the fresh installment.

Hell yeah. Love the Final Destination franchise.

Final Destination 2 is my favorite. That fucking highway scene.

I don't know if they can ever top the highway scene in 2. The twist at the end of 5 was great too.

In the aforementioned interview with Dread Central in 2022, Reddick had noted that the sixth installment is a true Final Destination movie, but one that doesnt follow that kind of formula that weve kind of established.
