TMOG 02/29/24 12:05:17 PM #58:	On one hand, there's really no reason this needs to be a remake, because every other movie in the Crow franchise has had a different character taking on the eponymous title. The Crow wasn't a singular person in the movies and the role kept changing -- this could have just been set up as a fifth movie instead. On the other hand, it's been 20 years since the last movie was released, and 30 years since the original. That seems like a reasonable amount of time to reboot a franchise that's been completely on ice. It's not like they're rebooting something that just came out. It was a 90s movie. It had a killer 90s soundtrack. It had a controversial and unfortunate accident on set that lead to the untimely death of the star. It was lighting in a bottle, it was within the zeitgeist of the 90s... and I don't think it works outside of that.
