I remember watching this in health class and again now but what the heck is this nonsense?

The guys been eating mcdonalds for a whopping 5 days and saying how he has the shakes and is throwing up and stuff. The health claims the movie makes are insane also, saying stuff like a bagel has more calories than a loaf of bread. People made fun of schools for overexxagerating the effects of drugs and alcohol, but this is way worse.

I believe most people agree it's stupid. Also seems to be pretty universal that after watching it, you want McDonald's, so good job bud. The whole premise is inane because he eats when he isn't even hungry. There's another movie debunking it where with reasonable daily McDs caloric intake and exercise, the guy loses weight.

How quaint.

I haven't seen it, but the point seems to be that doing something obviously unhealthy that nobody claimed was healthy while adding a bunch of unhealthy requirements to the self-imposed challenge is indeed unhealthy.

I once ate McDonald's for breakfast lunch and dinner and I felt like shit the next day. 5 days is not a stretch for feeling bad

Spurlock is a self admitted alcoholic since the age of 13.

most of his symptoms were a result of that/withdrawal. refer to the scene wirh the doctor, he implies it without saying it.

the whole thing is bogus.

Same, and not long after it came out. I only remember bits and pieces but I wasnt surprised to learn the guy was a functioning alcoholic through the whole thing.
