Konami seems to have just gotten old footage and thrown together a trailer for the hell of it.

It's clear Konami and Bloober are not on good terms anymore.

Then tell me why Konami didn't get the footage of this "new" build?
Where is this new build that blooper keep telling us?

This is 100% on Bloober. They gave Konami footage on old build, then of course Konami made a trailer based on that one.

They probably gave them new footage, they wanted combat footage, so Konami mashed together what they already had to make a combat trailer.

Bloober explicitly stated they did not want a "combat trailer." Thr CEO says it in the interview.

Konami broke their trust and made their own combat trailer with beta footage they already had.

Blooper's job is developing, not marketing.
If they actually guve the marketing team the "new build", then the marketing team would make a good video of it if it's really good.

This is just making it obvious that there was never a new build before that video, they're ashamed that their combat system are mocked by everyone, and trying to deflect the blame.
Bet they're working their ass off right now at rhis moment to make this "new build" into reality.

I feel like this is assuming a lot.

like, we don't know how communication is like between the two entities, and we don't know if Konami asked for a combat montage from them, or not.

they could have easily submitted other footage and Konami decided to go with the combat they already had.

also, it's possible that the gameplay from the direct in general had other companies doing the same, where they showed footage from earlier builds, but it came off as more egregious for SH2R due to combat not being emphasized in the original, and it not looking so good in the Remake (based on what was shown).

I feel like that scene in Breaking Bad where we're Jesse in the car looking helplessly out the window and screaming into the gag as we cry, knowing we're about to witness the thing we love being murdered.

They didn't give them that combat footage. It was footage that Konami already had.

The trailer looked great to me. Which is surprising considering how little faith I had in Bloober after playing the Medium.

You're not making any sense.
How did Konami got those footage? Obviously from the "old build" that Bloober sent to them.
Are you trying to say that Konami never supervise the game and letting Bloober do things without reporting to them? That's not how software development works, you still have to report the work to the employer.

Amazing that there's actually someone who fought nail to teeth to defend Bloober of all game developers.

Big daddy corporate is updated like once a year and then largely just to check if it will release on time.

I mean Demon's Souls only exists because literally no one (Outside of the dev team) noticed it wasn't an Oblivion clone until it was in late Beta.

Never change, Bloober Team. Theyre gonna release a steaming pile of Bloober all over the Silent Hill franchise to the point that Konami kills the series for good this time and theyll blame everybody other than themselves afterwards.
