I had to post this though I might close it later. I remember finding American Football on Interpunk (and eventually Owen). I was like wow this dead band sure was cool and they somehow released two more full albums.

I wish some Japanese lady close up with a mask wasn't the thumbnail, but this was also pre pandemic. She dances gracefully.

i discovered american football around 2008 when looking for some math rock bands after playing through little big planet which featured one of the Battle's songs that i really digged. ik battles isn't really considered math rock but was/is labeled as such. Anyway i discovered Don Caballero and a few others including American Football.

This Town Needs Guns which I think preferred to be called ttng. I'm the future. I remember some stuff clearly. But yea math rock was a thing.

I really got into their first album a few years ago. The other albums they've done are quite good as well, but the first one is a straight up masterpiece.
