I don't have a wall of text to add to this one, just that I fully agree. The grip is tightening hard the more their voices get heard.

Me and my siblings were never a fan of the word as far back as middle school along with the usual slangs or thug life many of our peers embraced and never grew out of. A mind set that thankfully it seems the next generation of my family are inheriting so far.

Frankly by adulthood the only people still using that word into their late 20s have likely peaked at life and will be stuck in the ghetto for life barring absurd luck.

The 'I' word is mighty important here. You can't expect others to think and/or behave like you and you surely can't expect others not to take offense just because you alone think it's okay to use the R-word.

The above cuts both ways. You are irritated by a bunch of white and hispanic people, in their late teens or early twenties, freely using the N-word? Well, you are not required not to take offense. Just don't lash out in public.

Solution? First, cool off. Walk away for a bit. Play some video games, maybe watch porn or something. Then return back later and reevaluate your place amongst them. If you can't understand them, just walk away and find your place to be somewhere else.

I don't expect others to behave like me nor do I expect everyone to respect my opinion. It's the fact that immediately people jumped to conclusions and labeled me just because they didn't like my opinion, acting like I want to go around and start yelling the R word at people... Instead of countering with any kind of opinion or thought of their own. It's easier for them to label me a troll than to confront what I said and THAT is what pisses me off.

Any time man, was a good convo. I really wish CE would be more open to chew over stances and opinions, even ones they don't agree with, rather than devolve into tipping arguments, ass topics, one piece and trolling. Ah well. Debates are a thing of the past.

For the record I think the term woke is extremely cringey and only used by stupid conservatives that see it in everything. They even tried to say Baldurs Gate 3 is woke. It's ridiculous.

Racism and white supremacy? Of course they exist and I don't support any of it.

I'd say the only thing I'm prejudiced against is furries. Those people are fucking weird.

In the 2000's you couldn't turn a corner without anyone not saying it (the one without the r)

I've seen it a lot online, but never in person. I'm black though, so... kind of hard to casually drop the N word in front of a black person lol.
