Therapy convinced me to start social media as a way to start journaling my healing progress. I thought the algorithm might garner me viewership and potentially some followers. Thinking that I had chance, I went through the process of looking up editing tutorials and even read a few articles on compositional theory. But no matter what I do, I can't seem to project the same vanity in my videos like the other influencers have made seemingly effortless. I don't have that same enthusiasm when I'm talking about myself. I can't seem to make trending topics like: "This is how my day in the office is," or "How much protein do I eat in a day?" Everything calls upon being intrinsically self-centered in order to make a good video; otherwise it just takes a whole lot of energy to fake a "pick me" attitude.

I think social media is stupid, but if people can somehow make passive income out of it, I want to join the bandwagon too. Why am I working so hard for $20 an hour, when there are college dropouts that are making millions for doing absolutely nothing?

Yes, that is mistaken for confidence.

Social media will facilitate your healing process the same way the triangle shaped hole facilitates the square shaped block.

For every college dropout making millions, there's many more of them with single or double digit followers at best. Don't kid yourself fam, you only want to perceive it as doing nothing because of envy but realistically there's a lot of hustle behind the scenes and they only show off as being effortless cause nobody likes a try hard.

Nothing says mental healing like a stranger from across the globe sending you a picture of a young girl's head being exploded in a traffic accident.
