One double homicide.
In that case, someone shot someone, and then the guy who shot the guy got shot.
They both were shot in the head, one was found dead and the other died at the hospital.

Another guy in an unrelated incident was shot in the foot.

Then after all that, someone tried to set a Police precinct on fire.

Yeah that was in my neighborhood, about four blocks away. The fact that it was targeted, and likely drug related, doesn't make me feel any safer.

Someone also fired shots near the Vermont Comedy Club downtown, and the Police Chief basically said "it was a bit of mischief, no harm done"

Our quiet little state isn't exempt from the downward spiral our world is in.

And ya, VT is chill but not immune to craziness.
In fact, a Rutland officer got involved in a Cop on Cop shooting at about this time last year, in my town, in New York. About an hour West of Arlington VT.

Puts a new spin on the term, Brave Little State.
