Loki Season 2
-The MCU has multiple sub franchises. The Loki series is one of my least favorites. I acknowledge it is well made but the timeline/multiverse stuff just isn't fun for me to watch
-Fucking Johnathan majors. Hes been the best parts of every mcu entry hed been in. Kang, he who remains and victor timely are all fun but I have no idea what happens with him
-I miss mcu mainline loki. I needed more time in the green suit and less crying for sylvie
-Mobius/loki dynamic is one of the better parts of the series
-One of the better looking series in thr mcu
-Im happy the reception is positive as Im a big marvel fan and its been disappointing to see the recebt reception to the mcu. I dont share in the positivity but I acknowledge Im in the minority for this series
-I actually think season 1 was better and Im not the biggest fan of that
-Watching he who remains again was awesome
-I still dont see how loki gained the powers to hold together the multiverse but Im sure others will tell me its great writing

Overall season 2 gets a 5/10.

The Marvels
-The 3 leads are fun and fun together
-The villain is a contender for worst in the mcu but i still think shes better than captain marvel bad guy
-Slightly better than captain marvel
-Action was good with the switching
-I didnt mind the singing planet like others did but perhaps it came at the wrong time, when people are turning on the sillier side and want more seriousness
-The ending seemed rushed
-I like ms marvel but I want her to stay in the teenager zone of the mcu and dont want her goofy energy in the next avengers movie
-the movie is going to bomb but I want to see all 3 women again in thr mcu (but doesnt need to be together)
-this is the best we have seen of captain marvel
-nick fury sure did have a major mood change since secret invasion
-Movie seems like it was directed by the studio. It had an end goal for characters in mind and then decided to build a superficially fun but not deep movie
-The visuals looked good to me. I know when it hits disney plus, people will pause and find cgi faults then complain about them online but in theatres it looked good

I give it a 6/10. Not bad but mcu needs better

Overall 2 mild disappointments for me this week. It seems like next year will be a light year for the mcu. Hopefully that helps the mcu get back on track. Aside from guardians 3, this year was a disappointment for me on the mcu side

Agree about Tbe Marvels.

Huge disagree about Loki. I was a little disappointed in episodes 2 and 3, but then I loved it.

I know my loki opinions are in the minority. The series just didnt land with me like it did others

I thought the Marvels villain was one of the better ones. Not top tier, but definitely top half. She had actual motivation. Most of the other villains are just there and we don't know shit about them or why they are the way they are. This felt more personal, kind of reminded me of Zemo a bit.

I think (not sure) the idea is that anyone powerful enough can hold it together. HWR did it with technology. Loki is a god, plus he did the whole sacrifice thing that always makes character more powerful.

I think the motivation was legit just the on screen presence was lacking

I like how 99% of discussions right now refer to the villain as "the villain" because she was so forgettable we don't remember her name

I still found her far more compelling than Lee Pace's Ronan. And I genuinely like Lee Pace. But they gave him absolutely nothing to work with. What's worse, is Guardians is a fantastic fucking film, in spite of the main villain. Imagine how great it would have been with an actual compelling one.

She didn't have a cool memorable name. I mean even Ronan was Ronan the Accuser. That's badass. But if his name was Ron-Zor or something, nobody would remember that.

Pretty much. I dont remember captain marvel bad guy's name either

Also captain marvel can go in a star and restart it. She shouldnt struggle with anyone ever. Bad power scaling
