The truth.

I generally like the series, but I wasn't feeling JW4.

I know it's an action movie, but it got to the point where it had too much action, for me, where it got to the point of feeling meaningless.

Definitely a weak entry. It was too long. I'd watch any other one over it.
I'd say 1>3>2>4

I really enjoyed it, don't get me wrong. Enjoyed it as much as the rest of the series.... BUT, it honestly dragged on a little too much with the action to the point of it feeling.... I don't want to say meaningless, but definitely less than previous entries in the series.

I would have liked to see more character development IMO.

It was still really good though.

The shot during the Paris car chase scene where the guy gets hit by a car and launched in the air only for John to shoot him a couple of times before he hits the ground lives rent free in my head.

Shit was awesome.

I just watched it a week ago. I thought it was ok. Look I know its a movie but the way their suits can just deflect all these bullets and he walks around shielding his face by just using his jacket is fucking stupid. They are falling off buildings and getting hit by cars and just walk away.

I still think the first movie is by far the best in the series.

2=4 > 3 > 1

Im sure it helped that I took a 10 minute break at some point, but I was onboard from beginning to end.

John Wick vs Ip Man, Bill Skarsgard scenery chewing, the traffic fight, stairs fight, etc. Loved every minute of it.

Best action series ever.

I forgot about the bullet proof suits from the other movie and was bothered by this as well.
They should turn John wick into a slasher and make him the boogeyman.

1 > 2 > 3 > 4

I like all of them. But 4 was too long.

I still prefer 1 where he gets shot and even though he had armour, it still gave him bruises.

And now at 4, everyone are bullet proof and they can just pull the suit jacket over their face and thats supposed to miraculously block the bullets, no the bullets should push the hanging jacket out of the way and hit you behind it.

And i thought Donnie Yen having Dare Devil super powers is bullshit.

But 3 is a 10/10

I didn't think it was bad, but it just got to be a little much.

Hell no, it became a parody of itself by the end with overly long action scenes and ridiculous jokes thrown in so often. The plot threw away the war that was so heavily implied at the end of 3. It set the series back since absolutely nothing important happened in it.

It is easily the weakest of them all.

I love the character that Mr Krabs played. He did it perfectly.

I preferred the third one.

My rating goes 1>4>3>2. I know 4 could have trimmed the fat a little but the final run from the fighting in the big traffic circle to the dragons breath shotgun had me smiling ear to ear. The falling down the steps could have achieved the same effect if he went down 2 sets of steps though, that was excessive. I put 2 in the bottom because of the flash mob scene in the end being a bit to much for suspension of disbelief.

It sounds like I'm putting them down but they really are the most consistently great action movies for me.

It was awesome. Rina Sawayama and Donnie Yen's performances were awesome imo.

I cant think of any other series with 4 entires that I completely loved from start to finish.

I REALLY fucking hope they stop here though. At least with the main series, they can do whatever spinoff bullshit I probably wont watch that they want.

That's exactly how I feel. Also the bulletproof stuff made fights drag on too long and get boring. Also having to climb that staircase twice? Man it just dragged on.

awful movie.

the black guy who only shows up cause he's a shitty plot device. he's only there to get John out of trouble becasue we can't have him die before the end....

first time he showed up when John and Donnie Yen were fighting and he got John out of it I knew that was gonna be his only role in the movie.

It's also did not need to be almost 3 hours long. please end the series.

shit jumped the shark at the end of 3 which was also bad.

it was way too long and how many times do we have to watch him take a guy down by wrapping his leg around his neck and then shooting him in the head

the only good parts were with Rina Sawayama but she was only in it for a little bit.
