Hopefully they learned from the 80's cartoon and the CDI games (did Link speak in those?) not to let third parties have fundamental influences over one of their most successful franchises.

Nintendo was heavily involved with Illumination's Mario movie, in order to avoid it becoming the same kind of disaster that the '93 Mario movie was, so I suspect they're going to be just as involved with the Zelda movie, if not moreso.

a throwback to pre-audio movies with panels in between with text would honestly be hilarious and pretty suitable for a Zelda movie.
