Picture this. In the 21st century, all mankind's old gods return and reveal themselves. The Olympians. The Agardians. The Egyptian gods, the Chinese, Japanese, African gods. And more. They all come back and are angry at humanity. So they attack and try to wipe us all out. Kinda like the Flood story in the Bible, but every god is doing it.

Tiny pockets of humans manage to stay alive in hiding. Then decades later like in late 21st century, a guy or woman (no discrimination here) finds a way to challenge the gods. And they get some special weapon that can slay a god.

This person then begins a quest, wandering the earth, to every corner, hunting down gods and killing them in duels. Just like the villain said in Thor Love and Thunder, (the comic was better) "All Gods Will Die"

They could do several movies. Maybe 1 movie for each pantheon of gods. It's like the original God of War game, but not limited to the Greeks, and set in the near future of modern day

The thing about complete schlock like Hobo with a Shotgun is that it's mostly very cheaply made and very simple and contained. What you're suggesting is a massive investment from the studio and investment of time for the audience for something that doesn't seem to even have the compelling simplicity of what the genre is well known for. It sounds like its going to be another Gods of Egypt, which nobody liked or saw, but its going to string along your boredom for some sort of absoute bottom cinematic universe.

Why do you assume the story will be bad, just cause i didn't write out a complete script to show the idea? People acted similarly to an idea once from me about a war between Greek gods and Norse gods. Just cause I gave the basic premise but didn't turn my post into a novel outlying the entire storyline, people assumed I was asking for some pure action no story piece of trash movie.

With no emotion or drama. I'm not a good writer. A Hollywood writer could make both those idea concepts better than I can explain here. Anyway, I do think people tend to diss my ideas just cause they come from me.

Its a new story based on Nezha, its kinda continuation actually. Nezha is most famous for getting in conflict with the East Sea Dragon King as he killed his son. Dragon Kings govern the seas and waters. So they are in charge of rainfall and tides n stuff. The Dragon King threatened to rain nonstop to flood the land killing countless people unless Nezha pays the debt with his own life whilst admiting his wrong doing. I think ultimately Nezha commited suicide in front of the Dragon King so he would stop the rain. But he did so refusing to admit that he did wrong killing his son.

In this story, he keeps reincarnating but the Dragon King and his son keeps killing the reincarnated Nezhas before he comes into realization of who he is and becomes one with his god spirit, until the one we see in this movie.
