The previous issue 1 was voting for our right to vote on things. Essentially, a small town in the boonies could hold up the rest of the state from putting something on the ballot.

Current issue 1 is abortion.

The same people were not surprisingly against both

The previous Issue 1 had nothing to do with abortion(in the actual text of the law that is in practice it was almost entirely about abortion) The law was intended to raise the vote threshold for ballot measures as a way to make the upcoming abortion ballet harder to pass(and harder to bring again in the future) and to confuse voters with back to back Issue 1s with opposite pro abortion votes. Force them to whiplash from Vote no on Issue 1 to Vote ves on Issue 1.

Its the GOP being insanely vile and deceptve to block something a supermajority supports.

They purposely numbered the new proposal after the one that failed.

Every ballot has an issue 1, this is a different ballot.

I feel like that might backfire. Generally conservatives are the less educated and sheep like people. They've been brainwashed this summer to vote yes on the first one

I'll tell my friends and family from Ohio to vote for issue 1 to protect the rights for people to get an abortion.
